We are a for women, led-by women charity, striving to support marginalised and disadvantaged women and work alongside women to create the future they see for themselves. We push for empowerment in its true sense so that women can achieve their full potential.
A lack of a clear path of support for all minority ethnic, migrant and refugee women, one that was flexible, accessible and relatable arose as an issue time and time again. Laamiga grew out of a passion and commitment to creating space and support for women often unable to access them. At the heart of it, was a belief that “When you lift up women, you lift up everybody – families and communities”… a belief that remains steadfast to this day.
