What We Do
Since 2012, we have worked towards giving Minority Ethnic migrant and refugee women in inner-London the confidence to realise their potential.
How we work
We lead and collaborate with like-minded organisations committed to the empowerment of BAME migrant and refugee women and girls through skills development, networking and building community. In practice, this means giving women the training, connecting them with like-minded mentors and offering opportunities that can enable them to reach their full potential and aspirations . Laamiga aims to act as a bridge between the needs of these women and their future aspirations.

Our Projects and Partners
We currently work on projects centred on cultivating skills that foster financial resilience, entrepreneurship and social cohesion. We rely on our networks, partners and our research to respond to contemporary needs and establish sustainable and impactful projects.
Stories
Read the stories of the women and girls who benefit from our projects, and about the real impact that your donations make in their lives. Each of them has a story worth sharing

Mary came to the UK as a refugee at a young age, and when Adeline was assigned as her mentor, was studying for university entrance exams.
Miriam & Sarah
Mariam came to the UK as a teenager and refugee in 2015. She was referred to Laamiga in 2017 by another organisation.
Fatima & Anima
